Driver

What this role involves:

  • Deliver and collect customer vehicles, including courtesy cars, by loading and unloading safely, proficiently and professionally on and off our vehicles.
  • Report any irregularities that may have occurred whilst delivering or collecting vehicles
  • Maintain all courtesy cars as per check sheets
  • Collect and/or deliver vehicles to and from other locations as directed by the manager
  • Carry out QC checks as required
  • Always keep the office informed of any changes to the schedule provided and ensure the correct channels of communication are followed
  • Ensure that comprehensive vehicle condition reports are completed for every movement undertaken
  • Ensure that you are DVSA compliant by maintaining the correct records with drivers’ hours, defect reporting and daily walk round checks of your company vehicle
  • Ensure that your driving licence, tacho card and driver CPC are current and valid
  • Maintain the Company image by wearing the supplied uniform and ensuring the truck/trailer you are provided with are kept clean and tidy throughout at all times
  • Ensure you are courteous towards any persons that you encounter as part of your role at all times

The skills you will need:

  • Be professional and be able to deliver strong customer service
  • Hold a full driving licence and CPC or HGV class 2.
  • Have an awareness of legislation governing the use of unregistered / untaxed vehicles on the public highway
  • Have previous experience in an accident repair facility or similar
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines.
